If you are interested in history and particularly in historic collisions that took place in Eastern Europe during the first half of the last century and World War II, this tour is meant for you. Ojārs Kalniņš, one of Latvia’s first ambassadors to the United States, will guide you through the complicated 20th-century history of the Latvian state. You will have an opportunity to visit the historical Riga Castle, the Latvian parliament building and to learn about Latvia’s period of occupation by visiting the Museum of the Occupation, in which most of the exhibits were donated and which is very important in documenting Latvia’s history.
