Security and internal regulations At all venues of NATO PA Spring Session events, the accreditation card must be carried in a visible manner at all times. It should be presented upon a request made by employees of the Secretariat or security officers. At the venues of the Session events, the accredited media representatives should carry an ID document bearing a photograph of the owner. If the accreditation card is lost, the media representative should immediately contact Lelde Rāfelde, the host country’s media and public relations co-ordinator, by phone at +371 67087218.
Media representatives are requested to arrive in a timely fashion at a Session event venue because the security check can take approximately 30 minutes.
Security officers will thoroughly examine everyone who seeks to enter the premises of an event. All belongings – computers, cameras, equipment and handbags – will undergo a full examination.
Examined photo and video equipment will be marked by special stickers.
Coats and jackets should be left in the cloakroom. Bags and cases of photo and video equipment should be left at the Press Room. Belongings which during an event are found on the floor or are left unattended will be collected.
It is not allowed to bring weapons, explosive or hazardous substances or objects, or umbrellas into the Exhibition Centre.
Smoking is allowed only in designated places.
At the premises of the events, media representatives should follow the instructions of the Riga Secretariat of the NATO PA Spring Session and security officers.
