Equipment at the venue of the NATO PA Session Print


Press Room

For the convenience of media representatives, Press Room will be available at the venue of the NATO PA Spring Session. It will be located in Hall No.2 of the Kipsala International Exhibition Centre, Ķīpsalas iela 8, Riga.

Working hours of the NATO PA Press Room:
Friday, 28 May 9:00 – 17:00  
Saturday, 29 May 8:00 – 17:30                
Sunday, 30 May 8:30 – 17:30    
Monday, 31 May 8:00 – 12:00
Tuesday, 1 June 8:15 – 13:00

Equipment at the Press Room

Several work places, including three which are equipped with computers, will be available to media representatives at the Press Room.

A fax machine will be made available to media representatives upon a request. Information can be faxed to recipients in Latvia and abroad.

Press releases, texts of speeches, official statements and other documents of the Session will be available at the Press Room in a printed form.

Drinking water (free of charge) and a coffee vending machine will be available to media representatives at the Press Room.

Wireless Internet will be available at the Press Room and the entire Kipsala International Exhibition Centre. Use of the Internet will be free of charge.

Technical assistance

Employees of the Latvian Press Secretariat will respond to all questions and instruct media representatives on the use of the equipment. If you need any assistance, please contact the Latvian Press Secretariat (in the room next to the Press Room).

Press Point for TV interviews

Press Point will be available to media representatives for holding TV interviews. It will have a background banner showing the panorama of Riga. The Press Point will be located to the right of the entrance to the Kipsala International Exhibition Centre.

Direct broadcasts via mobile TV stations

If you plan to have a direct broadcast from the Session and you need to use a mobile TV station at the Kipsala International Exhibition Centre, please contact the Secretariat of the NATO PA Riga Session no later than 26 April by phone at +371 67087218 or by e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. NB: Access by other vehicles to the Kipsala International Exhibition Centre and parking them there will be prohibited.

Transporting media representatives

Centralized transportation to specific events will be arranged for media representatives. Additional information will be available in the programme for the media.

Opportunities to broadcast video materials

By making a prior request, TV representatives will have an opportunity to broadcast video materials via satellite or to use a live studio. Technical specifications and costs are described here.
